Design Thinking for Real World Social Challenges

ChangeUtsav, organised in March 2023 in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Cell at IIIT Delhi, celebrated the spirit of innovation and community driven problem solving among young changemakers. The event brought together 40 students from Bharti College, Delhi University for an intensive day of design thinking sprints focused on addressing civic and environmental challenges. Participants worked in collaborative teams to ideate solutions that were practical, impactful, and socially grounded. Mentors from leading social enterprises and the startup ecosystem guided the students in refining their ideas into actionable and scalable models. The most promising projects were recognised for their creativity, clarity, and real world feasibility. As one participant shared, “ChangeUtsav showed us that innovation is not about technology, it’s about empathy and imagination.”
