22 November 2020

Global Youth Summit on Leadership, Equity, and Social Change
The Tale of Humankind Youth Summit 2020 was a global virtual platform dedicated to inspiring, empowering, and connecting young leaders committed to building a more just, inclusive, and sustainable world. Grounded in the belief that many global crises stem from failures of leadership, the Summit brought together one of the most informed and connected generations in history to share ideas, experiences, and solutions to pressing social challenges.
Held over two days in November 2020, the Summit featured plenary sessions, keynote addresses, panels, youth led discussions, and interactive zones that encouraged dialogue, reflection, and collective learning. The four core plenary themes Gender Equality, Climate Crisis, Skills for the Post COVID World, and Child Rights shaped all conversations, highlighting the urgency of addressing systemic inequalities, the climate emergency, the disruption caused by the COVID pandemic, and the need to safeguard children’s rights and voices. The event hosted an inspiring lineup of speakers including policymakers, activists, social entrepreneurs, business leaders, artists, and young changemakers such as Debjani Ghosh, Kamla Bhasin, Rajendra Singh, Amitabh Behar, Sudarshan Suchi, and many emerging youth leaders from across India and the world.
Sessions ranged from expert panels assessing the impact of COVID on marginalized communities to youth centric spaces like Youth Adda and Young Changemakers Zone, which amplified young voices and grassroots perspectives. The Summit also emphasized action through skill building discussions, climate advocacy, gender justice, and the release of a Youth Manifesto, reinforcing youth as drivers of meaningful change. Overall, the Tale of Humankind Youth Summit 2020 stood as a powerful convergence of ideas, leadership, and collective responsibility, reaffirming that transformative change is possible when young people are informed, engaged, and empowered to lead with empathy and purpose.
